ABOUT ME

I'm a Southern transplant living in the big city. I have a severe case of wanderlust that draws me to this site. Traveling is my drug.
I also cook a lot. It's therapy for me -- and an act of creation. What better form of art than one you can eat?

Grew up in Tennessee. Lived in Sweden, Ohio, and now New York City! I'm optician for Warby Parker, if that matters.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I moved to Sweden for five months not knowing a soul there. By the time I was set to return home I had made a new family. I miss you guys every day!

On a trip to Norway I got to drink the purest water in the world from a spring at the top of a mountain.

I traveled for three weeks around five different countries with crutches due to a torn ACL. It was not always easy but I think it was one of the most rewarding and challenging experiences of my life. I learned more about myself in those few weeks than the rest of the year combined.

I can teach you how to cook some delicious Southern U.S. meals: fried chicken, buttermilk biscuits, buttermilk pie, turnip greens, and mashed potatoes so good they'll make you forget how your Mamma made 'em. I love to experiment when I cook so I've tried my hand at a plethora of ethnic cuisines but I'm always up for learning. I'd love it if you could teach me to cook a dish from your home country /region.

Due to working in the optical field for the past 8 years, I can also fix your glasses unless they're broken beyond repair.

And if you interested and have the time, I can show you a good film or two. New recommendations are always welcome!
