ABOUT ME

So, it's been three years since I actually updated this, so I ought to take the time to be a good couchsurfer, and do so. The last time I typed in this "All about you" box, I was traveling back and forth between Los Angeles and Paris because of love. Now, it's Los Angeles and Beijing because of film, or rather the various different projects I'm participating in as a filmmaker.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In all the countries I have traveled to, I couchsurfed. And every couchsurfer around the world has been different, never the same, and never dull. Each time I come back to Los Angeles, I try to give back to the couchsurfing community by opening my doors to someone who's not just looking for a couch/place to stay, but someone who is bursting with all kinds of "I have to get to know him" energy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience led me to an amazing hard-to-find club where I was to meet a couchsurfer there, but the place was so packed that I ended up not finding her. But the place was fantastic... awesome music, amazing atmosphere, and filled with good people; I met a lot of interesting people that night. I thought to myself, if this is what couchsurfing is about... that is to say, being surrounded by good people, interesting people, then count me in for the long run. Needless to say I was hooked.

Interests

I have many interests. I'm very passionate about all things arty: film, photography, literature, all kinds of music, and the like. I like to play tennis, go to concerts, go to the movies, go out with friends, or just hang out at home.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really have a favorite movie at the moment. But, some movies that I've been watching lately that I like are: Chungking Express, Last Tango In Paris, Before Sunset, The Dreamers, In The Mood for Love, Contempt, Breathless, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, dances with wolves

Music: Beirut, Mum, Boards of Canada, the flaming lips, beatles, asoki seksu, explosions in the sky, coldplay, david bowie, sigur ros, the rolling stones, the magnetic fields, r.e.m., m83, lou reed, le tigre, glasser, fiona apple, elliot smith, blonde redhead, Bang Gang and blah blah blah.
