Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to explore an abandoned castle
ABOUT ME
I'm unabashedly nerdy; I love math, computers, a good game of dungeons and dragons (3.5E but I'm open to other systems as well :P), and long walks through nature (somewhere green preferably, not a huge fan of deserts).
I'm currently studying computer science at a small liberal arts college in Southern California. This year (2012) I'll be studying abroad in Cambridge until June. Having never been on this side of the pond before I'm hoping to experience as much of Europe as possible while I'm here.
PHILOSOPHY
Don't take life too seriously. Our lives are the smallest fraction of a blip on the Earth's timeline, it seems so wasteful to spend the time we do have fretting over ultimately irrelevant details.
Interests
Academically, I am interested in essentially ever aspect of computers. I love programming, trying out various operating systems, opensource software, the internet, even fixing random wifi problems can be fun sometimes. Math, linguistics and philosophy are pretty neat also.
Outside of school, I love exploring. Be it nature or an abandoned building or a city, I am always down to go wandering around with no particular aim other than seeing what cool things you can find.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last summer a friend and I took 5 weeks to road trip around the border of continental United States. It was an amazing experience, we were able to see many of the major cities, landmarks etc. I hope to do a similar trip in the future but focusing on national parks instead of cities.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teaching:
I'd be happy to teach any of the random (sometimes useless) life skills I've picked up, including but not limited to: basic sewing (read: I can sew just well enough to fix a hole in a shirt), partitioning a hard drive, juggling, photoshop, cartwheels, long division, etc
Learning:
I'd love to learn how to do a hand stand, or a back flip.
Also, probably not really feasible to learn while I'm traveling, but I'd love to learn some basic auto repair. My engine started dying on a road trip once and it would have been a amazing to be able to pop the hood and understand what I was looking at.
