About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Well, right now my incredibly boring mission is to keep on studying to pass my final exams next year. More interesting missions will come after that though...
ABOUT ME
I’m a 24-year old law and political science student specializing in public international law. My main interests lie in human rights, international criminal law and humanitarian law.
Apart from being a student I’m a passionate guitar and piano-player and singer. I love music, discussing anything over beer/wine or whatever suits you and to travel. Unfortunately at the moment I lack the time to do the latter as I’m preparing for my final exams in October 2016. But after that I’m pretty sure I’ll go somewhere amazing even tough as of yet I have no clue whereto.
PHILOSOPHY
I want to use the knowledge I gain as a law student to make a difference. Where, when and how I don’t know. But it’ll work.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I’m on Couchsurfing for quite a while now and I’ve used it frequently to travel, to meet fellow travelers and show people around in the cities I’ve lived in so far.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I’ve done couchsurfing in Germany, Canada, Bolivia and I did not have a single bad experience. Instead, I’ve met plenty of interesting, open-minded people and I want to continue doing so!
Interests
I’m interested in many, many things, including law and politics, international law, philosophy anddiscussing any of the aforementioned, preferably combined with wine and / or beer. I do sports (volleyball, squash, dancing, sailing and others) and I love getting to know other people, cities, countries, cultures and so forth via travelling and living abroad. We’ll find a common interest and something to talk about. Don’t worry!

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m really into all three of those.
Music: Anything from singer and songwriter new and old (Colin Hay, Mercedes Sosa, Hannes Wader, Konstantin Wecker, Sophie Zelmani) to (mostly german) rap and beyond. Most of the time I like relaxed, laid back music (Kings of Convenience, Michael Franti). Again: We’ll find common ground and I appreciate every good new song anyone shows to me.
Movies: Basically anything. Depends on the mood.
Books: I read a lot about international law, transitional justice and political issues. If I read a novel I want a book that at some point I have to pause reading, because I need tot hink about the issues raised and questions asked. Favorite to that regard: When Nietzsche Wept and anything by Hermann Hesse. Again: Any further recommendations are welcome!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Difficult. I had many amazing moments just sitting around in the park, on a rooftop or at the Heidelberg river with friends, playing guitar, singing, drinking, watching stars and just having fun.
If you ask for something more (commonly referred to as) extraordinary: Watching the sunset in the largest salt lake of the world, the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia. It was just a plain white flat and on the horizon some mountains, our group of seven being the only persons around. After the sun set, I saw more stars than I ever did in my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m more than ready to teach you any- and everything I know, to share a nice evening, a bottle of wine and/or a meal and to learn anything that you can teach me.
