About Me

CURRENT MISSION

live the dream

ABOUT ME

I work as a freelance dancer and musician. If I'm not working for someone else I usually spend my time learning stuff or creating (which is always a big learning experience). With the constant alernation and sometimes crossover between music and dance my work never gets boring and as a result I'm quite happy for my work to be my life. For occassional timeouts i go surfing and diving or find somewhere cosy to sit down and read a book.
I'm not a big party animal although I have a love/hate relationship with beer. I hate to admit but I love it. I'll go out for a drink or seven but I really enjoy sleeping (i'm quite a gifted sleeper) a lot more so as soon as it starts to get too late i usually find myself heading home to bed. I don't like to sleep in (much) as days are too precious to be wasted in bed. but I also like laying in bed, reading and living in a state of floating contradiction.
Every moment presents a choice.

PHILOSOPHY

For some time I've been running with "Don't think too much" a complex philosophy that revolves around the idea of multi layered conciousness that is human/humanity/Earth. In practice though, it is quite self explanatory.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed a couple of couches (futons) in Japan. One with a surfer with whom I went surfing- confusing conversations. Hooked up with some chronic capoeiristas in York and met some lovely Swedish folk, Pragians, Amsterdammers and lots of Frenchies. I've done a little travel in the past and by hooking up with friends of friends or meeting people on beaches I've wound up with places to sleep in Montreal, Canada, Playa Del "something' in Mexico and housesitting in Collingwood, Australia
I'm also very used to having random people (usually dancers) staying at my place (when I have one) as they drift from one contract/continent to the next.

Interests

i like being in water, chasing fishes and whatnot.
I also like reading, watching movies and sleeping.

Music, Movies, and Books

hmmm, I like movies a lot! nearly all of them- favourites, no particular order- Napolean Dynamite, Sin City, Garden State, Serenity, The Three Amigos, Monty Python (All), Rushmore, anything with Will Ferrell, The Royal Tennenbaums, Once Upon A Time In China, Edward Scissorhands, King Kong- Really I can't do myself justice with this kind of list and I'm not even going to START on music (maybe one day)(OK just 3 at a time)
Arvo Part, Katie Noonan, Frente (and Ben Folds)(the Cardigans are back!) John Woods

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 1 month assisting a documentary maker filming sea-lions in remote South-Australia. Swimming everyday with wild (but quite friendly) Australian Sea Lions. Utterly awesome!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I could try to teach you my relaxation philosophy. I'd like to learn sign language. I'm more than happy to share my chocolate.
