Hi, I'm Finn.

I'm from Melbourne/Naarm, Australia and am currently solo-traveling across the vast country of Canada. This has been a trip in the making for a long time and I cannot wait to explore as much as I can whilst I'm here.

When I'm not travelling, I'm either writing or taking photos. I love to document and create stories from the experiences in my life.

I also love to cook whilst listening to music, something I'd be more than happy to do whilst getting to know everyone I meet.

This is my first time on Couchsurfing so I'll be learning the ropes as I travel.

In short, to connect with locals along my journey across Canada. This world is nothing without its people.

The crux of my journey is not just to experience as much of the country as I can but also to meet as many friendly faces as possible, learning as much as I can about y͟o͟u͟r͟ story.

One is kind-of limiting, here're a few!

- Spend two months living and studying in Wakayama, Japan with a host family.
- Return back to Japan, this time travelling with my girlfriend.
- Produce and film my graduate film on train.
- Ride across central Victoria with my two best friends to see an amazing sunset near 90 Mile Beach.
- End up on the Japanese news for a segment about tourism in the Nara region.
- Show up to a Fontaine's D.C. concert in Melbourne with no ticket only to have two strangers offer theirs for free.

"Happiness only real when shared"

What I mostly want to learn is what y͟o͟u͟ love most about your city. What's your favourite neighbourhood, your favourite restaurant/café, a particular dish you like, the places that feel like home for you. THAT'S what I'm eager to uncover!

Other than that...

I'm happy to offer up any advice of where to travel in Australia.

I'm not bringing much asides from the clothes on my back, but any of the few dozen movies I'm bringing along are yours to enjoy as well!

- A home cooked meal. (Japanese curry, chilli and shakshuka are my favourites to make)
- My time, and wisdom (or lack thereof) in conversation
- Movies and TV shows, I'll be bringing my trusty USB along with me.
- Your space as it would otherwise be. I aim to keep a clean and tidy space.
