I'm very simple in what makes me happy:

I'm active in sports such as bouldering, cycling and, what I just discovered this summer: swimming. My greatest hobby is longboard dancing & freestyle, quite unknown but very fullfilling, just as being in nature and hiking through forests and mountains.
With my camera I've been capturing architecture, nature, portraits or whatever comes in front of my lens for 10 years now.
When I'm not doing anything outside, I celebrate cooking or just listening to music trying (doesn't mean succeeding) to create art. Being interested in politics and history as a philosophy student I think about god and the world everyday.
Getting to know new people is one of the greatest pleasures to get: As an open-minded person willing to listen to whatever my partner has to say, I might have a conversation for hours.
I consider myself as independent and reliable, as I understand that not everone has much time. Therefore, taking care on my own is not a problem for me: If there is anything new to discover, I won't be bored just exploring on my own.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Getting into touch with new people while getting to know new cultures, food, languages. I'm highly interested into learning sth new and expanding my knowledge. I want to be able to curse in as many languages as possible.
Everytime I'm on holiday, I can't stand just sitting in a room, so I will explore all the places nearby. I hope that - by couchsurfing - I'm able to get even deeper into new stuff since meeting people of various cultures broadens my horizon better than by renting a hotel room. And based on my experience, local guides always know better spots than any tourist guide.
Personally, freedom is a high good for me which I can best achive by travelling without knowing my destination. Feeling like living a too monotonous and structured everyday life, I want to break free from predetermined times.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music is a wild mix of everything that grooves:
From 70s psychedelic rock through jazz and soul to Bob Marleys reggae and 90s hip hop to eastern european indie post punk - as long it's not mainstream I will listen to it :)
For 4 years in a row now, The Doors are my nr. 1 artist I listened to on Spotify.

I read everyday, mostly German authors. Currently, Benedict Wells is my hero as he is able to find the right words to express what he wants to say while being totally down to earth.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think, summer 2024 has been my most exciting and happiest year since my childhood, as it marked an important step into adulthood (I still feel and act a child tho)

What I Can Share with Hosts

As much as I desire learning about foreign cultures I'm willing to returning the favour: Being interested in politics and history I hope to bring you German culture nearer. There's nothing better than teaching German language!
As a food-enthusiast I'm loking forward to cooking with you or keeping company to you while talking about god and the world.

Also, I'm very independent, so I'll be able to take care on myself. I have great respect for people's privacy and time table and being used to hiking or visiting cities alone, I have no problem doing it on my own.
