About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a curious but not intrusive person. I like bold adventures and cozy, snug places. I like to explore and I very much like showing people stuff. I am sometimes caught in between my interest in travelling to distant places and my attempt to live environmentally compatible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friends are all here. And I think in times of closing borders and increasing isolation, it is all the more important to uphold this way of travelling and meet strangers from all over the world without prejudices.

Interests

I love good ideas and to develop them further with other people. I like things that are beautiful but am suspicious towards too much perfection or conclusiveness. I like good, honest talks (and I don't just write that because everyone writes it), if possible at a nice and cozy place, combined with good, self-cooked food and fitting background music.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to listen to music, play music and make playlists for my friends.
Some of my favourite music: The National, Portugal. The Man, Balthazar, Warhaus, alt-J, Leonard Cohen, The Tallest Man on Earth. I am also a fan of Latin American electronic music.

I very much enjoy reading books (e.g. Hermann Hesse, Tolkien) and watching movies/series (e.g. Call Me By Your Name, The Grand Budapest Hotel and generally Wes Anderson movies, Victoria, Game of Thrones, Babylon Berlin).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was young(er), I built a three-floor treehouse with my friends. And I walked from my study place Dresden in Eastern Germany home to Hamburg, around 450 km, knocking at random people's doors asking for shelter.

Teach, Learn, Share

An elder person once called the life period I am now in "The Years of Learning and Wandering". That is a depiction of my current way of living I find simple yet very appealing.

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Austria, Chile, Denmark, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In
