My name is Finn. i am 23 years old and. I grew up in a small surf town on the west coast of New Zealand called Raglan. this is where i spent most of my life but for the last 9 months i have been solo travelling around the world starting with Australia where i travelled the east coast of Australia for one month and then i found home in the city of Melbourne where spent the last 7 months Working and enjoying my life in this city. during my time in Melbourne i spent my days exploring the city, diving into the Melbourne nightlife and music scene, making weekend trips to its surrounding areas to explore beautiful places like Phillip island, the grampians national park and the Dandenong ranges. once i saved enough money i started the next chapter of my journey which is backpacking through Europe. During the last 3 weeks i have been to London, Bristol, Amsterdam, Cologne and now i am currently in Berlin. i am passionate about music and especially electronic genres such as house, Techno and Goa trance but i enjoy all genres of music and i am always looking to discover new sounds that i can resonate with. My hobbies include surfing, Skiing Djing and running. i love catching up with friends but i am also really interested in making new friends and learning about other peoples culture and way of life.

Im on couch surfing because im seeking a different experience than going from one hostel to another. I would like to meet people who are from the places i am travelling to and can maybe show me around a bit and tell me about the place that they live. On the other hand i also would love to tell you about where im from and where ive been and maybe we can inspire each other to seek new adventures and enjoy life. Another reason why i am on couch surfing is because i want to save some money along my travels and gratefully enjoy the hospitality of others. one day i would like to give this opportunity to others when i return home from my travels. I want to make new friends from around the world and i think that Couchsurfing would be a great way to do this.

my favourite music in my life right now is Techno and i love all sorts of different artists and producers from this genre. other artists from other genres that i really enjoy are surf/psychedelic rock bands like sticky fingers, ocean alley and Dope lemon. when i was in Melbourne i discovered trip hop and my favourite trip hop group is Melbourne locals, Ivy trip.

One amazing thing ive done is when i was young and in school i learned how to speak the indigenous language of New Zealand which is the Maori language. i can speak this language fluently which is not common at all in my home country and i feel very grateful that i learned this language.

im trying to learn German at the moment so if you could teach me some German that would be awesome! my skill is completely basic at the moment so anything basic would be amazing.
