About Me
Hi there, originally from Germany, I am currently living in the lovely little but vibrant Cork in Ireland. I was already coming around a bit, a year living in the magical Lisbon working as Receptionist in a Hostel beside of doing half year Erasmus, having a first glimpse to Africa with a round trip in Morocco, travelling to the other world edges with Uruguay and New Zealand as well as Bali and visiting some European cities such as Barcelona, Granada, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Porto, Prague. Originally born near Hamburg, I still have a special feeling being in the North "nordish by nature" ;) My second - well, after Lisbon maybe my third - home is Berlin with its special vibe, electronic music scene and magical summer :) I would love to travel soon again to South America stepping deeper into Uruguay as well as visiting other countries such as Argentina, Peru and Brazil. Also on top of my list is Asia and once again the magical New Zealand. /// Favorite Quotes: “travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer“, “happiness is the only thing that multiplies when you share it“, “it’s the rest in a piece of music that gives it resonance and shape“, “there is nothing either good or bad - but thinking makes it so.“, „“it‘s not our experience that makes our lives, it‘s what we do with it.“
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After all this travelling and meeting different people, nations and cultures, now living in Cork and recently moved to my own little flat, I would like to invite the people outside this world to my own home :) And hoping to find some hospitality and kindness when travelling to the next destinations.
Interests
Although I was denying electronic music until my mid 20s, after some friends invited me to join some events I actually started to become interested in this kind of music and beats, especially now Berlin techno and cross-over electronic mixed with classic elements (such as Nils Frahm, David August, Ólafur Arnalds, Hauschka). It is not for everybody, but I personally like it.
Beside of this, I recently started learning guitar and played some piano when I was a teenager, so I am still loving it when piano elements are used in all kinds of music.
When I started to be vegetarian around 6 years ago, I developed a special interest about healthy food, lifestyle and experimenting with all kinds of vegetarian becoming passionate about cooking.
As you might know Ireland is known as "green island" (it is really worth a visit!) and having lots of beaches with beautiful coastal areas, where I already tried a bit of surfing really liking it. Although I missed to learn skateboard or snowboard (but Ski) in the past only having little success standing on the surf board, I still have hope succeeding in it very soon :)
