Overview
About Me
Work in progress.
I try really hard to contribute positively to every space I am a part of. Whether it's a home, a park, a show, a bus, etc. I want to make it as awesome and comfortable as I can for others.
I always very excited about a few ever-changing things. My curiosity leads me to all sort of fun places and to do lots of fun stuff.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love learning about the places I travel from who actually live there. It's very special to see people's favourite local parks, activities, restaurants, and meet people in their communities.
Being generous without expecting anything in return isn't something I see enough of in general. I love Couchsurfing because it provides a way to give what you can to others, and a way that people can be comfortable asking for help.
Interests
I can get excited about just about anything!
Some of my main passions include making music, circus, being outside, dancing, teaching, and working with children.
I float in and out of different hobbies and practices so often it's hard to keep track of what I'm into.
I spend a lot of time outdoors, often in the mountains. I'm lucky enough to live in a place where I can ski, mountain bike, hike, rock climb, or kayak and still be home for dinner time. I love multi day camping trips, whether it's in the snowy mountains, lush forests, or on the ocean.
The main thing I love is the process of learning something new, and engaging with the community of people who do whatever it is I'm learning. This sort of thing has led me to play in bands, travel across the world to teach and learn circus skills, meet language partners, and all sort of other fun stuff.
I love animals, especially baby animals. I foster kittens when I'm not traveling, so I always have a different group of tiny cats running around my home. The most I've had at once was 6, it was a lot of fun!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is one of my favourite things in the world. At home I go to a show about once a week.
I studied jazz in school and love many related genres like soul, hiphop, funk, r&b, blues, rock. I could list genres all day but anything that evokes emotion or makes me want to move is worth listening to.
I love getting into the nitty-gritty of harmony and sound when I listen.
I have a love for electronic music as well, particularly bass music. There is a very vibrant scene where I live, and I love going to festivals and raves to listen to great music on big sound systems. If you like nerding out about niche electronic stuff, we'll get along.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hosted a Couchsurfer for a few days and ended up hitchhiking from Vancouver to Whitehorse with her on a whim.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love teaching people whatever/whenever I can. If you want to learn how to hula hoop, do handstands, understand music theory, or anything else I know, I'm your guy.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love cooking, and sharing/teaching any of my other skills.
