I was born in Zambia, grew up mostly in Zimbabwe and have lived in South Africa most of my life now. My husband Greg is South African born and bred. We currently live in a village called Hilton in Kwazulu Natal, which is perfectly situated between the mighty Drakensberg mountains and the City of Durban along the coast. Greg and I have been married for 30 years and are blessed with 3 daughters and a son inlaw. We love meeting people from different parts of the world and greatly desire to travel and see more of the world ourselves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's so exciting to experience travel in such a real way! We have hosted many visitors in our home over the years, friends and people we'd never met before and enjoyed the experience. So far, we have hosted one couchsurfer in our home and he even came back for a second visit(and made a great new friend) and look forward to hosting many more and making lots of new friends. So come along to sunny SA!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Definitely more than one - Given birth to 3 girls, stayed married for 30 years (and hopefully still a bit sane), run a couple 1/2 marathons, lead a friend to Jesus, seconded a bunch of cyclists who rode from Cape Town to Hilton over 11 days (my husband being one of the mad cyclists) through places that I would never have had the opportunity to see otherwise!
