About Me

Hi everyone:)
I am Fiona, studying environmental engineering in Magdeburg, Germany. I recently finished my exchange semester at Niigata university in Japan. I am an open-minded person who enjoys to get in touch with new people, to talk with them about politics, religion, etc. and get to know to new cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am very interested in different cultures and talk to people with different backgrounds and point of views. Because of that, I already went to New Zealand for one month, I did an Interrail travel inside Europe with my cousin, I lived in Nicaragua for a year to do a voluntary service in an environmental education organisation and I studied in Niigata for one semester. I like travelling, but I actually prefer staying in a country for some time to take part in the daily life and get to know to different people.

So if you want to exchange experiences in different cultures, have a nice and interesting discussion or like to talk about your culture, social and environmental topics, I am your girl:)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love fantasy novels as Lord of the rings, Eragon, Harry Potter, etc. Apart from that, I like the books from Terry Pratchett, Walter Moers and Gioconda Belli a lot. Recently, I read the great book "Norwegian Wood" from Haruki Murakami, so I want to read more from him.
I love music and I watch different movies, I don't have an especific taste. I listen to mainstream-Pop music, to spanish music (calle 13, Natalie Lafocade,, DuomGuardabarranco) and recently J-Pop music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My voluntary service in Nicargua and my exchange semester in Niigata were very special experiences for me. I am still suprised how you can adapt to very different environments and while doing it, you can learn that much about yourself, people, this world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can play the guitar very well. If you want to, I can teach you. I could also support you in learning a language if you are studying German, English or Spanish. We can sing together! And I know something about knitting, sewing and these stuff.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, nice talks, a lot of interest about almost every topic, fun time:)

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, England, France, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
