I'm Fiona, 43, mother to 3 kids. I've a good sense of humour (boarding on sarcastic, if you can believe it!). An optimist, the glass is neither full nor empty, but very easy to refill!! I enjoy the company of people that are excited by life & what possibilities it has. I enjoy cooking & I love eating. I'm often described as a hippie, but I'm not completely away with the fairies, but I may arrive by unicorn. I love the work that I do, I like the fact that people tend to feel better after they've been to see me! It's a lovely job satisfaction. I'd try almost anything once, some things again....others? well maybe not! I enjoy a good laugh!

I've travelled a bit in my life. I enjoy mixing with people from various places. I've travelled with people & alone. I like the idea of going somewhere new & having an insight into the culture by staying with someone who lives there (not necessarily from there!). As a family we hosted people through HelpX & we really enjoyed it. It's not quite the same thing, but similar! I love the idea that my kids would be able to see the world this way too!

兴趣

I'm a curious soul. I like to ramble around a place & get a feel for it. When I've travelled before, I like to go at my own pace. I don't want to see 100 sites before lunchtime! Maybe somedays, I like to just be immersed in the atmosphere around me!

My favourite movies are - Withnail & I. The Life of Brian. Silence of the Lambs.
Books - I've just finished my course, so it's been a lot of text books recently. But the Big Magic is the most recent, non course book I read! I really enjoyed the series of the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo!

Riding an elephant in the Thai jungle was pretty awesome!!
Sand boarding in Australia, was ALOT ALOT of silly fun...

I love sharing my knowledge with people who are interested. I'm into complementary medicine & enjoy being pretty healthy. But you know, everything in moderation, including moderation! I'm always curious to learn from other people, depends on what they are interested in... I always find something to learn.
