Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's a great way to meet people and share cultures.

I', very shy so I take it as an opportunity to meet people.

You want to stay with me? Because I work in multiple jobs, I can't host very often, but I love to do it. If you want me to consider your request, there are a few points you should consider, because I get a lot of requests.

-Please read my whole profile, especially the "My Home" section and write my real name in your request. My real name is written somewhere in my profile. If there is something you don't understand or you have questions, please ask me before sending a request.
-I want to know, why you are visiting Bern and what your plans are. "I'll be in Bern from xx to yy and need a place to sleep" or "visiting an event" is not a description of your plans, I want to know what are you doing or what event you will visit.
-I understand that for many of you, money is a main reason to be on Couchsurfing. So I get many requests from people who want free accommodation, but I don't want to be just a free hostel. I want to meet people who want to meet up with me. So I ask you to write in your request, why exactly you want to stay at our place and not just somewhere. For example: "I want to meet locals and visit the city" is not an explanation, why you want to stay with me. Write down for example what interest we have in common, what language we could share, etc...
-To fellow Swiss people: I get many requests from young Swiss people, who wan to visit Bern for work, internship, concerts, events or to just meet friends and are in search of a free accommodation because train tickets or hostels are expensive. I do understand that, however, I prefer not to host you, if you are in that situation, because I made the experience that I was really just a free hostel for such people. I may host you, if you can share something amazing with me, for example take me and my boyfriend with you to your events or let us participate at the activity with your friends, or treat us to dinner.
-I don't accept requests for more than three days. (Three days are usually enough to visit everything that's worth to be seen in Bern. I get requests fro tourists who want to stay in Bern for one week or more, but when I ask they usually don't even know yet what to visit in Bern)
-If you are a more than one person, I want all of the guests to have CS profiles, so that we can exchange references.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I missed the train somewhere in the Black Forest in Germany. It was January and insanely cold, so I decided to sleep in a telephone cabin because I couldn't find accommodation.
