Music, Movies, and Books

Academically I specialise in Hispanic literature (especially Latin American lit). I’m currently reading widely on contemporary Colombian literature. I also enjoy French writers such as Camus and Maupassant. I don’t normally claim to be a big fan of poetry (tho secretly I do like cheesy Neruda a bit of Baudelaire). Another piece of work that was transformative for me was “Queremos tanto a Glenda” by Julio Cortazar.

Music wise I’m a “classical musician” myself ( just a fancy way of saying I play instruments). Not a huge fan of Baroque, my fav period is late Classical — Romantic. I love Beethoven’s sonatas and apparently I like a lot of pieces that Chopin hated them so much himself that he wanted them to be burnt upon his grave. My fav singer (as cheesy as it sounds Ik) is Pablo Alborán tho in the uk I just say Ed Sheeran. And a bit of reggaeton here we go.
