My name is Fiona, as you surely know by now. I'm studying cinema in Lille (North of France). I'm finishing my third year of studies, before leaving for more adventures, I hope.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been living with housemates since the beginning of my studies, and what I can say is that I love it ! Having roomates, hosting travelers, what a fun !

Interests

I'm a curious person, talk to me about something and I will be delighted to explore it, even if it's not my habit.

I love cinema of course and art in general.

I travel but it is never enough for me !

Music, Movies, and Books

I love differents kinds of music: funk, soul, blues, reggae, classics, rock, indie pop etc, rap, even celtic (Oh yes !), indian ... electro sometimes .. depend of the day !

Movies that I love are from directors as Stanley Kubrick, Akira Kurosawa, Max Ophuls, Buster Keaton among others. I can advise some movies like Funny Games, Waltz with Bachir, Mommy, The Blue Angel, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Once Upon A Time in America ...
Even if I don't like the film, i appreciate watching it for broadening my cinema culture.

And about books, I love The Prophete (Khalil Gibran), Stephen King's and Theophile Gautier books and short stories.
And last but not least Victor Hugo ! J'adore !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been in Iceland when I was 18, hitchhiking and trekking with a friend. It was cold, sometimes we were without food (no supermarket in the mountains !), we slept in a tent.

It was so cool.

An other incredible experience is ... living in Berlin
