I'm a fun, enthusiastic and quirky person who loves adventuring, singing and dancing. I thrive on new knowledge and experiences. I am an energetic and upbeat festival-goer (live music is basically my favourite thing ever) but i'm also a humble plant mum at heart who loves to read and take photos (i'm obsessed with the sky and just beautiful things in general). I'd like to believe i'm good at playing guitar and ukulele ahaa....but don't ask me to play anything outside of the choice 3 songs i can play well ;D I'm an open-minded person who is in awe of the world, and i just try to maximise everything I do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would really love to be able to get an authentic experience in every place I visit. At the end of a holiday etc. i really love to feel like i understand and really know the place i travelled to, and without an extended stay this is usually really difficult. By signing up to couchsurfing I realise this is the best way to meet amazing people and see a country from a local's point of view within a limited amount of time. I believe the connections i make while travelling are the highlights, and there's nothing more invaluable than having friendships all around the world. Couchsurfing will allow me to make these amazing friendships and learn more than i could ever dream of by travelling ordinarily through hotels/hostels.

Music, Movies, and Books

-Disney movies - Tarzan, Nemo and Tangled are the best movies ever i will defend these with my life
-Game of Thrones, Mad Men, The Office, Parks and Recreation, Black Mirror (i watch too many tv shows)
-The Great Gatsby is my favourite book - Fitzgerald's writing is just so poetic and beautiful and the imagery is just perfect
-I'm obsessed with music...my favourite artists are Gang of Youths, Lorde, Leon Bridges, Arcade Fire, The 1975, Arctic Monkeys, Alt-J, Bon Iver...i could go on forever

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taught English at a school in Thailand for 1 month and was Project Manager of our Education and Development team. We raised $11,000 to fund the building of a kindergarten for a school too remote to receive appropriate government assistance. It was the most amazing, eye-opening experience of my life and i believe it was the best thing i have ever done.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn my hosts' native languages, and i can also help people with their English and French skills.
I'm particularly interested in learning Mandarin and Spanish, but i'd basically just like to learn as many languages as i can.
