About Me

CURRENT MISSION

living life live

ABOUT ME

I'm an outgoing, positive, curious person, very very interesting in the world and people. Sociable yet like solitude.

I'm very lucky to work as a travel writer (no one would give me a proper job!) I mainly work for guidebook companies: Lonely Planet, Rough Guides. I've worked on around 30 books covering everywhere from Guatemala to Indonesia. I'm going to be in Croatia this summer.
I also write for UK national newspapers including the Guardian/Observer. Here's a link to one of my recent stories about an island in Indonesia :

My main areas of expertise are South-East Asia and Central America, I also know Spain very well.

I'm a dad and have two young sons: Louis and Monty.

PHILOSOPHY

passion is a fashion
lust for life
go the extra mile

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Impossible to answer but Angkor Wat is the most amazing man-made monument I've ever seen and I only got to go there last year.

Experiencing punk rock in England in 1978-1979. Experiencing acid house a decade later.

Diving Ras Muhammed was pretty special, and swimming with whale sharks in Honduras.

Clubbing in Ibiza...but also hiking in Ibiza...and eating out in Ibiza.
