About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see as much as possible while spending as little money as possible
ABOUT ME
I'm currently working as an English assistant just outside of Paris, as it is the only thing the French government will give me a green card for.
I am quite the flexible traveller, and have been known to fall asleep just about anywhere. I have no objections to wearing the same pair of jeans for a week at a time and if given the option to pay 3 euro for a bus ticket or walk thirty minutes, I will most definitely be walking. What can I say? My momma taught me how to pinch pennies.
Not so much of a partier (I'll take a joint over a whiskey-coke any day), but I will never turn down an offer to grab a drink. Or two. Or ten. Quiet until comfortable, reserved until drinking, somewhat obsessive-compulsive, and willing to try anything once. I'm an adaptable guy.
PHILOSOPHY
Don't knock it 'til you've tried it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have a pretty big apartment just outside of Paris (about a ten minute walk to the metro station, then another thirty minutes to the city center.) I have a couch and plenty of spare mattresses, blankets, pillows and hospitality. If you're in the area, and I'm in the area, shoot me an e-mail. We'll work something out.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Haven't slept on a stranger's couch yet, but I did sleep in a stranger's abandoned office building just outside of Amsterdam - flourescent lighting and all. I got locked out of the building for three hours in the morning, which was miserable at the time but makes a pretty good story now.
Interests
Grabbing a map, strapping on the backpack, renting a bike and exploring a new place. I'm a sucker for museums and excellent views, especially when free, and will go to great lengths to hunt them down. Recently I've had a hankering to do some fishing and catch up on my reading.
