Présentation
À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
"Action is the chief end of existence..." so I guess I like to stay active
ABOUT ME
I'm a twenty-two year old engineer living in Portland while I intern. I'm pretty easy going and I try to look on the bright side of life (and that side of people). I'm definitely not the type you should be shy of meeting. There are VERY few people I am not comfortable hanging out with so if you need a friend in the area, hit me up!
PHILOSOPHY
I think if what you do not only makes you happy, but those around you happy as well, than you are more or less on the right track.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've mostly surfed abroad, but am looking forward to the chance to start hosting as soon as I land a place of my own.

Centres d'intérêt
A lot...but a few are the outdoors, drunkenly yelling country music, festivals, science and engineering, beer, foreigners, eating, combat sports, paper and the trees they come from...lets just say I'm sure there's something we could talk about.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
"The Matrix" is the only film I've bought and watched repeatedly. "Shogun" by James Clavelle was why I took Japanese instead of French in High School.
And music...there's a lot. I could definitely show you some phat tunes on my ipod. At the moment I've been getting into Bon Iver, the Joy Formidable, and Oasis. I really like indie-electronica like Animal Collective, Holy Fuck and the Prodigy. I also have a soft-spot for chamber choirs and smooth jazz.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I hiked Slieve Donard, highest mountain in the Northern Ireland Mourne Mountain Range (not saying much) when I was 13. On the way back we decided to visit what I think is called the "Windy Gap". Basically, you go through an opening in the old stone Mourn Wall. Wow...a lot of winds. I literally remember not being able to stand up I was just pushed against the hilltop. It was amazing.

I really love living in the Northwest, its a wonderful place and there are so many beautiful things to see and do, in any season. Wanna go on a hike? Hit me up, my friends and I are always down for the outdoors. Like to party? I can assure you we know how to have fun at my house! Hey, come by next Autumn and you may even get to check out a UW Husky American football game at the loudest stadium in the States. Not kidding, we get rowdy!
I'm Red Cross certified in CPR and First-aid which are surprisingly easy skills to learn. I could probably teach you the Heimlich maneuver in five minutes.
I am a brown belt in Tae-Kwon-Do, an experienced wrestler and novice of Brazillian Ju-Jitsu and grappling. If you like martial arts and combat sports I could teach you some basic take-downs joint-locks and positions. I also have a wicked spinning roundhouse kick.
