About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Increase local knowledge - promote safe travel - learn about everything (one idea at a time)

ABOUT ME

I grew up on a little farm in Southern Idaho. I worked in the construction industry for about 13 years. I'm a veterinarian that specializes in large animals. I love the outdoors, and have more hobbies than any sane person really should entertain. My passions are food and fishing, mmm inter-relation. I also love to travel!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't been able to host for about a year now, but am hoping to offer a couch once I get set up again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, my hosting and being hosted experiences have been great. I love meeting new people, especially travelers.

Interests

Deep breath, okay, in no particular order --> eating, cooking, reading, sparring, knitting, fiddling, flat and finger picking, hiking, hunting, fishing, painting, working, traveling, biking, working out, nutrition, cows and animals in general, roofing, swimming, kayaking, teasing my dog and sometimes little kids...

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: water world, snatch, the fifth element, wild hearts can't be broken, the piano

Music: classical and romantic, folk, bluegrass, country old and new, alternative rock, classic rock, punk, some heavy metal, sinatra-esque, opera/ballet, very few r&b

Books: the poisonwood bible, collected works of eecummings, the old man and the sea, 501 spanish verbs, collins english/spanish dictionary, my clinical pathology notes, the regular bible (though honestly, I don't know if I'll ever finish it) such a good reference though

Teach, Learn, Share

Okay, don't give your dog raisins. Some can eat a pound and others only a few before going into renal failure (bad news for the kidneys). As a general rule - give dogs dog food and not people food, that just makes it easy to remember what they can and can't have (health-wise).
