ABOUT ME

I have worked and volunteered with companies, nonprofits, publications, cultural and health centers, community and film festivals; and sold my own artwork. I am semi-fluent in the Korean language. It was in South Korea that I taught English for over six years and studied Korean at Seoul National University for two years. I have also traveled throughout Japan and China. I have recently returned to the US.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Besides family and friends, I have had the great privilege to have been a guest at the homes of several strangers that kindly befriended me in Japan and Korea.

Biked around Japan;
Backpacked in Tibet/Northern China;
Did my art on the streets of NYC;
Survived four months in Korean immigration detention;
Learned Korean.

I can speak, read and write Korean (and a smathering of Japanese and Mandarin). I love languages. I studied Capoeira Angola--an afro-brazilian martial art--for three years with Mestre Joao Grande. He has a school on 14th street and 6th avenue. I am fairly web/computer literate.
