ABOUT ME
Writer/Director from LA who's moving to NY to pursue some cool opportunities doing both.
When I'm not making films, writing books, or dayjobbing as a craft bartender, I play piano (classically trained for 25 years), learn guitar, sing, study linguistics and make conlangs, road trip with my blue Volvo station wagon Emmarie (she's awesome), read Wikipedia articles until 3 am, drink whiskey, talk to strangers, drink more whiskey, read voraciously, travel, and generally learn everything there is to learn on our crazy blue ball called Earth.
I am open, honest, do NOT judge anybody, love to learn about anything, will happily talk your ear off about philosophy, social change, art, music, film, literature, the universe, and what the hell it all means. But my favorite activity is listening. Nobody who ever talked a lot learned much of anything.
PHILOSOPHY
Live to love. Love to live.

Music, Movies, and Books
U2 - My philosophy.
Bruce Springsteen
Rock n' roll
And everything else.
As a filmmaker, I have too many favorite films. But my two most loved are "Cast Away" and "Taxi Driver." They speak to who I am.
I read everything and anything. But very little is great. Hemingway is great. Debate me on it. I dare you. :p
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled the entire United States twice. Over 16,000 miles.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to play piano, music theory in general, everything you ever wanted to know about the film industry, photography, woodworking, bartending and the art of spirits, cooking, the care and upkeep of manual typewriters, and lots of random information about pretty much any subject you can think of.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Anything! But most importantly, kindness and knowledge.
