Experiencing new places, meeting new folks, broadening my horizons. Doesn't get any more cliche than this but you get the picture.

ABOUT ME

I am a 34 year old working with children in preschool. BA in Early Childhood Education.

Also, a guitarist in an underground rock band and as of recently a solo acoustic troubadour.

I enjoy the outdoors although I am a bit ashamed to say that I let myself go these last few months and aim to change that.

I currently live in Varaždin, Croatia but I have also lived in Christchurch, New Zealand for a year.

I am as open minded as one can be, and have a pretty simple view of life and people: ''Don't be an asshole and you won't be treated like one. '' I believe that personality is the best way to measure a man, regardless of race, religion, orientation etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I could probably have you crash at my house for a night or two and would like to surf on your couch and meet new interesting people and hopefully form new friendships.

I always travel on a tight budget so no restaurants, expensive concerts or similar paid events. BUT, I will go see a local band or artist from your town any day of the week!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed with amazing people during my travels in the United States, every one of them had a unique and interesting background so that was really cool :)

Movies:
Tough one, I don't have a favorite director or anything.

Music:
Geez, also a tough one. Everything in the distorted guitar spectrum (rock, metal, punk, HC) AND a big sucker for classic country/folk/bluegrass. Depends on my mood.

Books:
Currently my favorite writer is John Steinbeck. My tastes change from time to time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Toured with my band across 12 European countries, all gigs self booked.

-Drove 11 hours with four friends and luggage to Prague in a Citroen C3.

-Came to vacation with virtually no money and my guitar and busked my way through in the Adriatic coast.

-Traveled alone for a couple weeks across 10 cities and 7 American states.

-Quit my job in Croatia and moved to New Zealand.

- Built a bed in my car and traveled the Adriatic Coast (2022) and Cote d'Azur (2023) with my partner

I can teach you about ...well, being a Croatian :)
Also, I could probably share my stories regarding running a virtually anonymous band and having a great time doing it.
I'm not much of a cook but I think I make a mean scrambled eggs breakfast. :) As long as the pan is teflon or ceramic haha
