About Me
ABOUT ME
- Born in one country
- Grew up mostly in another
- Studied somewhere else
- Have lived in an additional four on top of the three above
- My parents are not actually from any of them, IâÃâ¬Ãâ¢ve never been to my country of origin.
- Identity crisis? Nope.
- Just recently moved to Vegas and now may be moving to KL!
- Sunlight gives me energy like no other. In cloudy weather, Red Bull does. No wings though.
- Have an uncanny ability to injure myself impressively albeit somewhat dumbly.
- Wine makes me sleep. Champagne wakes me back up.
- If no-one was at home, I’d sing in the shower. I’m lying I’ll sing any way.
- Am actually very laid-back, except with pretentious people, then I give back as good as I get.
- If you say road-trip I’ll say yes, regardless of destination. Unless it’s an Oatmeal factory or something. I take that back.
- Love exploring new destinations. In Summer I make full use of the beach and the bars. In winter, exploring more culturally distinctive and absorbing countries sounds like a plan.

MOVIES
Tend to forget the details of most blockbusters soon after seeing them âÃâ¬Ãâ works out quite well, unlimited replay value.
Some of note;
- Blood Diamond (Stirs both my travel and political interests)
- Slumdog Millionaire (same reason as Blood Diamond, albeit with a happier ending)
- 12 Angry Men (For the psychological aspect and court excitement)
- The Dark Knight (pure dark drama / action)
- In Bruges (funny dark drama/ action)
- Wall-E (immaturity aside, it was hilarious and original)
- Sliding Doors (the fickleness of fate and fragility of life .. sniff)
- Love Actually (for the sissy Xmas feel-good side in me)
- Plenty moreâÃâ¬Ã¦. I just couldnâÃâ¬Ãâ¢t end with that last one
TV-SHOWS:
- The Apprentice (UK Version)
- The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (Appeals to my liberal side)
- Fawlty Towers (only recently been introduced to this, wow)
- Sitcoms: Spin City, Seinfeld, Frasier, Becker
MUSIC:
- Buy tracks over artists
- Individual Tunes over Genres
- Absolutely anything over Dave Mathews Band, the Spice Girls and other equivalents in both categories.
BOOKS:
- Barack Obama (Dreams from My Father)
- Bill Bryson (Neither Here Nor There, Down Under, Notes from a Small Island, The Lost Continent, Notes from a Big Country, Walk in the Woods, Shakespeare, A Short History of Nearly Everything)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Exploring a remote monastery in the Bhutanese mountains, exploring Indian temples, snorkelling the Red Sea, kayaking through caves in Phang Nga, performing a marriage ceremony (Joey-style), bungee-jumping with a sea bounce, outrunning a Tsunami on a moped, dashing for cover in a bomb shelter. The last two were amazing in a very different way than the rest.
