About Me

CURRENT MISSION

'Surely the world is big enough to hold both thee and me.'

ABOUT ME

My living situation at the moment means I'm unable to host, but would be more than happy to show you around if I'm not working!

I am just finishing up a Masters in Art History, after having spent a year travelling with my sister. During that year I visited quite a few places, almost too many to be able to tell proper stories! I am currently studying at the University of Auckland. Nice to stand still for a while!

'Sometimes you have to act as if acting will make a difference, even when you can’t prove that it will.'
- Michael Pollan

I study art but can't draw to save myself. I like walking around, costume parties and story-telling.

And dogs. I LOVE dogs. And cats. Cats too. Most animals. Except eels. I can't stand eels.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm out to be one more person who has only good stories to tell of couch surfing.

So far I have only surfed, but am very much looking forward to hosting when I get my chance! I have surfed a LOT in the past year and, though you hear it all the time, really did meet the most awesome people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have only ever surfed. I learned about CouchSurfing just before leaving on my last year-long trip, and it has been by far the most valuable part. Pure hospitaliy and buena onda. Could not ask for more.

Interests

Having a good look around cities - on foot. I love art galleries and museums. Also parks. A good bike ride may also be in order. I like going for walks and being told about the places I'm in and peoples' own stories. I like stories.

On the other hand I also LOVE camping, hiking, walking. Looking forward to getting to know a few more trails and ranges around New Zealand this year.
