About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make it easy to enjoy the world we live in. Meet people, make friends, take memories and give kindness. Would love to Couchsurf around the world and experience wonderful hosts with a common interest in travelling and this amazing community, everywhere we go. We cannot wait to host when we return home and help fellow travellers on their journey.

ABOUT ME

I enjoy travelling and am planning a world trip. I would like to visit as many places as possible and meet lots of good people along the way! I'm hoping to be educated, inspired and find fulfilment by experiencing the people and their cultures everywhere I go.
I love comedy, films, sports and lots more. I'm a friendly person that hopes to meet interesting people from anywhere in the world

*(Update) - I am now travelling with my wife and hoping to meet many couchsurfers along the way.
*! We are currently in South America - Colombia, September 2018, Ecuador, October 2018 and Peru, November 2018 (roughly).!*

Please feel free to reach out as a host or just to give advice and tips/recommendations on our trip about your city or country from your knowledge. Hanging out or showing us your town would also be appreciated.

PHILOSOPHY

Be kind to people and hope they are kind in return. If you do good then good may happen to you. Life is precious and needs to be enjoyed. If people are nice to me, I will do what I can for them...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been open to hosting for several years on and off and showing people around where I live. I love being a tour guide and sharing the local knowledge and good places to visit. I've not had the pleasure of hosting couchsurfers yet but my wife and I have hosted visitors from around the world on a different site.
We're looking forward to meeting new people in our travels and are excited to host people on our return from travelling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCES

So far... We have stayed with hosts in Cairo, Aswan Egypt (Fantastic), Joburg, Coffee Bay, Port Elizabeth and Hout Bay, Cape Town, in South Africa (all great). We have stayed with a host in Bali, Indonesia and now a few in Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Brasil, Bolivia, Mexico and Colombia - Wonderful....
We really enjoy meeting all kinds of different people from all over the world, getting to know local people where we go, sharing food , helping out. hearing their stories and experiences is great!

OUR COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCES (MY WIFE, BRIE FLANAGAN and MINE) ARE SPLIT BETWEEN HER PROFILE AND MINE.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Jazz, easy listening, calm and relaxing, indie, rock various bands and artists. Beatles, Kings Of Leon, Michael Jackson, Arctic Monkeys... (So many more)

Films - Comedies. Thrillers, True stories

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Learning to fly a helicopter. Amazingly difficult but truly rewarding and fantastic!

Teach, Learn, Share

Always listening and learning!
If you give respect, people will respect you. Treat people how you want to be treated yourself. Travel is a great lesson in it's self. Honesty and humility are great qualities to have...

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good friendly conversation, polite nature and very respectful. Clean and tidy people that take care of everything. Relaxed and laid back, not demanding of our hosts either.

Hopefully laughter and good stories. Respectful and decent towards them and their home...
We do not crave late nights or wild parties 99% of the time but can be open to our hosts lifestyle.
We are more than happy to cook and share a meal when possible. Also don't mind helping out with small tasks so we can contribute in some way.
