Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Back in the eighties, I was travelling with my girlfriend and our 4 children to Greece by car. On our way back, in Romania, in the evening we had our second flat tire (the roads were absolutely horrible). A guy who came along helped us organizing a new tire, and as it had become quite late, he invited us to stay in his very small appartment that he shared with his parents and his sister for the night, and also spent the next day with us showing us around a bit. For me, it was an amazing and unexpected manifestation of cordial hospitality.

Interests

Lots of things - I already mentioned the game GO, which currently is my primary hobby.
I like playing tennis, billiards and cards, skiing and skating in winter, swimming in summer, table tennis all year, meeting people, discussing politics, philosophy or whatever, seeing movies, cabaret, dancing (especially rock 'n roll), eating and drinking, all kinds of having fun
