About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Spend some time back home in Los Angeles for a year or two, work on some projects, and save money for the next trip abroad.

ABOUT ME

I've spent a long time trying to find the perfect job and never succeeded. So, I'm doing what makes me happy (travel & photography) by paying my way doing whatever I need to do in whatever country I'm in at the time. So far I've spent a summer working as a photographer in Ibiza, Spain, a year teaching English in rural Japan and a few months bartending in Darling Harbor, Sydney.

In the past, I've spent most of my time doing computer/office/web related work but have also spent time working on set in the film industry and working as a bartender at a famous Hollywood destination. I've worked with and met a wide range of people and wouldn't give any of it up.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short so spend your time doing what makes you happy. Why spend the majority of your life slaving away at something you hate so you can be free to do what you want when you retire? Just get out there and do it all now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I haven't really had a couch of my own for a while, I've only ever surfed or met people for food and words in various parts of the world. I have been to meet ups and am occasionally active on the forums as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed in Japan, Hong Kong and Thailand and made some great friends and traveling partners in all of them.

Taught English in Japan for a year & climbed Mt. Fuji while there.

Swam with a Whale Shark in Western Australia.
