My name is Flavia, it may seem different for non Brazilians... But you get the pronounce easily! I'm 19 and I the most important thing in my life are my family and friends. If you ask them to tell you a little about me, they would start by telling you I'm a happy person (at least most of the time!). I love to smile, and I love to see others smiling. I love music - good music - from the harmonic sound of instruments to the marvelous sound of nature. I'm really sociable and talk a lot - sometimes more than I should! - and I love making new friends, I have a lot of friends that I met in the most unlike places - 'cause, yeah, I don't' seem to be able to follow my parents advice to not talk to strangers... Some would say I like too many things. I can't' avoid finding almost everything too interesting. My friends would complain about the difficulty of finding food for me. It isn't that difficult, but I'm a vegetarian and almost all my Brazilian friends eat a lot of meat! I accept them as they accept me. I have strong opinions and really enjoy debates about almost every subject, but I'm not afraid of learning and changing my mind as I evolve in my way of thinking through the journey of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I spent this last New Year's Eve in a vacation house in the countryside, all night lying down watching the stars. That time I took to think about what I wanted, and I know I always wanted to visit the whole world and know all the countries and the cultures - I really love anthropology, even though I know very little about it -, so I decided I would travel the world, and what better way of doing so if I start planning it with one year advance? So I made some research and realized the best way of doing so is by Backpacking! And CS gives us the opportunity to do so in a more comfortable and shipper way, besides, we can also meet new people and really learn about their culture.

Interests

I love reading, cooking (specially sweets!), playing the piano, riding my bike, studying almost everything in all knowledge areas, watching movies and a variety of TV shows, taking photos of my family and the nature, going out or just sitting and talking or doing nothing with my friends... :) I love the Nature, beautiful sights, gorgeous skies. I love museums, theater, concertos...

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classical music! But I also love Rock (old and new), Indie, Folk, Pop, Bossa Nova, Brazilian Popular Music... :)
My favorite movies list is very long, 'cause I like a lot of types... Since superhero (I really like Marvel comics! X-men <3), to dramas, comedy, romance, adventure, action, classics and even cartoons. (I really love Disney!). But a few of my favorites: Back to the Future, Home Alone, Pride and Prejudice, Gone With the Wind, The Notebook, all based on Marvel comics movies, Harry Potter, all Disney movies, and lots of others!
If I had to quote my top five favorite books: Sofies verden ( Jostein Gaarder); Gone With the Wind (Margaret Mitchell); The House of Special Purpose (John Boyne); Room (Emma Donoghue); Le Petit Prince (Antoine de Saint-Exupéry).
