Overview
About Me
Hey y'all! My name is Flavia and I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I came back home in July 2018 after two years living in the US. In Chicago and San Francisco I worked as an Au Pair, got to experience the American culture and traveled as much as I could. I got my Teacher of English degree in 2015 but since 2011 I’ve been teaching in bilingual schools and language institutes. I’m passionate about the English language, being immersed in new cultures and meeting new people with different stories to tell and share.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because not only will I be staying with locals who can show me around, but also we'll have the chance to exchange lifestyles and our cultures. I'd love to join you on different activities as a host or as a guest.

Filmaholic
Books: Classics, Austen, Bronte. Hate Nicholas Sparks, love Nick Hornby. Fave play: Alejandro Casona's "Prohibido Suicidarse en Primavera". Fave book that makes you think: Milan Kundera's "The Unbearable Lightness of Being". Book I read more than twice: Jane Eyre.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visited 20/50 states in the USA in 2 years.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love everything that has to do with exchanging ideas and being in contact with people all the time. But I'm not only a teacher, I teach English...that means I have passion for that language and everything related to it. Language is culture. I'm sure you'll end up learning lots of words in Spanish (especially the Argentinian "lunfardo"), but I'm also more than interested in learning new languages.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share all bits of Argie culture, we can get together and have the amazing Argentinian drink "mate" and why not some sweet stuff like alfajores. Hey! I can totally make Argentinian empanadas for you!
