Hi! I am Flavia, a young woman from Verona, in northern Italy. I am an easy-going person, I don't really need much to be in a good mood, just good people around me, good food and good energies. I consider myself a curious human being, always trying to learn different things and experience new activities. But from time to time I also need my time alone, maybe in nature, reading a good book or just listeting to what I am feeling. In fact, I am not the most extrovert person you could meet. It might take me some time to really open up to people. But once I feel at ease with someone I can become really talkative. I am a very good listener who loves hearing stories from others and share opnions. My friends always come to me to tell me about their difficulties and problems, and listening to them and giving them my advice is one of the things I like doing the most. I really try not to judge others, and their way of living. In the end, everyone is struggling with their own issues and I always try to understand that.

About what I do: Last March I graduated with a Master's degree in international relations, and now I am starting to build my next steps and decide what to do in the future. I am interested in human rights and migration and I would like to work in a small and local organization providing support to people migrating and trying to settle in a new country. As regards my free time, I like rollerblading, hiking in the mountains, bathing in cold rivers, cycling, reading, watching movies and videos on Youtube/Arte, going to music festivals and dance until I finish all my energies (which can take quite some time if the music's good).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find it a really inspiring way of travelling and visiting places. Thanks to CS you can get to discover a city through the eyes and experience of someone living there. I think it is the most authentic way to explore and get to know a new environment.

Unfortunately, I still don't have any references on my profile because the only time I used couchsurfing I was with a friend and we used her profile. So I hope you will trust my words and feel at ease with hosting me anyways!

Best books I have read until now: La Storia, Elsa Morante - Accabadora, Michela Murgia - Sweet hereafter, Banana Yoshimoto - All graphic novels by Zerocalcare

I am mostly into techno, rap/trap music, but I like to explore and listen also to other genres. I like cumbia, funky, reagge/dancehall and tech-house as well. I find it hard to concentrate on just few favourite artists. I rather pick up the songs I like the most from each artist and keep on searching for new music.

I went bungee jumping from the tallest bridge in Italy. Such an adrenaline shot!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am really open up to everything, so whatever you have to offer I'll be done to learn it. But if I really have to choose, lately I am trying to learn the basics of hip hop dancing and I would love to learn how the play the bongo.
I can teach you some Italian and I am a decent-good cook so we could prepare something nice together!
