About Me

Italian, currently living in Hangzhou.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because Dominik in Bochum is now a friend, because everytime I want to listen to a new finnish band I ask Helene, because thanks to Julien I tried La Reunion specialties.

Interests

I like rollerskating, badminton and fussball.
I play the guitar but I can't sing

I love to learn foreign languages and travel, just like many other couchsurfers!

Music, Movies, and Books

Musicals and documentaries on music are my favourites - Jesus Christ Superstar, Mittsommernachsttango, Buena Vista Social Club to mention a few

I also like bittersweet movies. Those that make you laugh but then leave you with an Ovosodo (hardboiled egg) stuck in your throat, that doesn't go up and neither goes down.

I enjoy reading Camus and Italian classics, like Pirandello and Calvino. The book I have re-read the most is Candide by Voltaire

I sincerely love music and through Couchsurfing I wish to get to know new bands from all over the world. My latest obsessions are Raphael Saadiq, Café Tacuba, SMOD and Käptn Peng & Die Tentakel von Delphi.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Maybe it's nothing special for many people out there, but to me this was amazing:

When I was 20 I went on a trip to Luxembourg with two Italians, a french guy, two Finns, a Czech girl, two Americans, two Greeks, a british girl and a spanish guy. We all tried to avoid speaking english and spoke german instead even if our german was broken. Each of us had to struggle with communicating in a foreign language. It was fun to laugh at our mistakes!

Teach, Learn, Share

"When we lose a language, we lose centuries of human thinking about time, seasons, sea creatures, reindeer, edible flowers, mathematics, landscapes, myths, music, the unknown and the everyday" (K.D.Harrison)
