Hi! We are Flávia and Vitor, a couple (both 33 y.o) from Brazil who decided to quite their jobs in Sao Paulo, to travel the world searching for new experiences and friends. Some would say we are a bit old for that, we say it´s the perfect moment.

Around 2 years ago we started discussing how our lifes were turning to automode. We were happy but something was missing. We liked our jobs but didn't have a big purpose. We felt that the routine has caught us and decided that travelling might give us some answers so, we planned taking some time out and here we are.

We consider ourselves as easy-going, friendly and positive people who loves to make friends, know others cultures, share stories, drink a beer, laugh and have memorable moments. As a couple we respect each others individuality and we get along really well.

In short, we are two lucky ones who every day try to be grateful for sharing our life with each other and with the people that crosses our way, with our families and our friends. We truly think that our happiness is at our hands and, we also try to accept and take something out from every situation that turn up.

We both speak English (we studied in Australia where we met) and Spanish. Vitor use to work in an agency, helping brazilian students to study abroad and me, Flávia use to work as a Field Application Scientist in a company in Brazil and also teaching English. I´m passionate about languages and studied French for a couple of years. Would love to learn some words from your language and teach some from ours.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have always travelled a lot (together, separately, with our families, with friends…). We created our CS profile some years ago but I don´t know why we have never really used.

When we decided to take this long trip, we saw that CS would bring what we were searching: closer experience with local people, country/city, spending good time together, share our food, our knowledges about our cities, learn new ways of living and thinking and hopefully also find people who are/were looking for their purpose in life to share some experience. We want to reinvent our professional life and are searching for conversations and insights about it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love any type of music, it just put me in a good mood but my favorite ones are definetly rock: The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, Red Hot, The Who...many bands! and for Vitor is samba. Love foreinger movies and true stories.
