I'm a very talkative music and arts lover. My hobbies are photography, and to play musical instruments - acoustic guitar and trombone specially. I play on the streets of Rio with carnival blocos throughout the year but specially on Carnival.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I entered Couchsurfing to see how it was and ended up surfing twice during my Eurotrip in September 2013. Since then I decided to participate more actively in this wonderful social network, and intend to host people in Rio whenever it's possible (although I share apartment with other two people).

Interests

If you like to play any musical instrument or just talk about music, we are going to get along for sure. If you'd like to learn about Carnival, Brass Band in Brazil, or have a musical experience, I probably can help.

Also, I am graduated in Psychology and love to talk about all kinds of things related to it. Architecture, history, and movies are passions.

MOVIES:
Brazilian movies, drama, thriller.

MUSIC:
Rock in general, Brazilian music (samba, MPB), electronic music, jazz, brass bands.

BOOKS:
Kundera and Lispector are the favorite writers due to my special interest in subjective romances that involve philosophical and psychological questionings.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done was to busk alone in Sydney: just me and my guitar in the tunnels of the metro. I won't forget the reception of passerbies, the other buskers I got to meet, and the 'no strings attached' feeling. This encouraged me to play on the streets in my own country, which changed my life, and I do now with my band and the Carnival blocos.

I have a special interest in learning about yoga, Buddhism, typical music of your country, architecture, arts, and history in general, and can share some information about the musical scene in Rio, the best places to hang with locals...
