About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore and enjoy everything on God's green Earth. And to get an apartment with more than one room.

ABOUT ME

We are a young couple living in a tiny 1-bedroom apartment. She graduated from Transylvania University in 2009, where they met and he graduated in 2008. He is currently a student at Lexington Theological Seminary. We both work for a market research company called eworks, which is a weird but fun job that keeps our schedules moderately open.
We're open-minded, happy, social people. We don't drink often, but we can drink excessively, and we can appreciate the wide variety of states that the mind has to offer. We don't smoke cigarettes but we're very 420 friendly. We're movie fanatics, with a special interest in horror and a special-er interest in zombie flicks.
Most of the time, we stay at home and entertain ourselves, but we certainly know how to have fun.
We've both had a taste of travel, and agree that it's basically the best thing in the world. Looking for a less touristy experience.

PHILOSOPHY

(Chris:) In the beginning, there was this Being that existed. And It thought existing was so awesome that It decided to make some other things, so they could see how great existing is, too. We don't always do it right, but we must always remember to enjoy existence!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We want to surf! Still new at this, but we want to go and experience as much as we can.
We now have room to take in surfers! We have a surprisingly comfortable pull-out that sleeps two, not to mention a little room to inflate an air mattress nearby. We're excited at the possibility of hosting unmet friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet. Sigh.
However, a few weeks after I first Stumbled onto CS, an old friend of mine informed me that he had been CSing around the country. It was a cool coincidence and affirmation of this program.

Interests

1) Peace, love, and joy.
2) Movies of any kind - We'll watch anything and we'll keep up a good movie discussion for hours.
3) Video games - Particularly the older ones (NES, SNES Genesis, etc.) and Wii. Mario Galaxy has been consuming our lives lately.
4) TRAVEL! - We've both traveled on our own, and have been aching to do it together. We want to go anywhere and everywhere.
5) Cooking - She grew up cooking, but he's new, and we're learning it together. Still, we adore creating food, and we'll try our hand cooking for anybody we meet. It might not be special, but it'll be edible.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Zombies! (George Romero, the Japanese, etc), slashers (Freddy, Jason, Halloween), adventures, comedies, romances... this is a hard list. Anything that's decently-written and acted will do.
Music: Classic rock (Queen, Zep, Floyd), The Beatles (who would be classic rock if they weren't their own category), Elton'n'Billy, musical theatre, instrumental. We've also been known to listen to world music (Celtic, Indian) and, in our guilty moments, we'll turn on rap and top 40 radio stations.
Books: More horror (He's a King fan), classics, Chuck Palahniuk, Michael Crichton, religious books (of the academic or progressive bent)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

(Chris:) Stood to face a tornado in a chemically-induced stupor.

Teach, Learn, Share

(Chris:) I don't have may skills, per se, but I'm trained to think about God and minds, so I can share that knowledge. I can't share a trade, but if we sit down and talk or a while, I'll try to impart some wisdom and truth. Oh, also I sing way too much (but at least kind of well), and I'll probably treat you to a tune or three, whether you want me to or not.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Greece, Hungary, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
