Figuring it out
ABOUT ME
I am a music school drop out. I received my B.A. in psychology from UNC-Greensboro. I am a recovering nail-biter. I consider myself to be an easy-going person. I enjoy public transportation. I take my coffee black. I prefer autumn and winter to spring and summer. I like to travel and I want to see the world.
Many people have told me that they thought that I was intimidating when they first met me. (I blame it on "resting bitch face syndrome.") ;)
PHILOSOPHY
I like to try to take things as they come.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have traveled quite a bit and have slept on many couches as well as in cars, tents, and floors. I can sleep almost anywhere.
I finally got to successfully Couchsurf this past summer (2013) when I traveled across the country with a friend. It's been nice to find that there are good people in the world who are willing to open their doors to strangers.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like listening to songs by Neutral Milk Hotel, Rilo Kiley, Best Coast, and Andrew Jackson Jihad. I really like music that has the potential to make me cry and music that gives me a warm feeling. I am a sucker for top 40 songs. Also, I almost exclusively listen to NPR on the radio. I like movies in general. I can't sit through scary movies or extremely gory movies. I like zombie movies (because of the survival/crisis aspect) and indie movies. In terms of books, this year has been a Murakami year for me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't like questions that ask me for one thing. I can be an indecisive person and I get frustrated trying to pick just one. If we meet, we can talk about amazing things together.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd like to learn how to garden and to sew. I'd like to speak Korean fluently and practice French more and learn other languages.
I can teach you a little bit about music and about violin and/or piano. I can spew out a few psychology-related things. We can talk about language. We can work on how to say hello in Korean and conjugate verbs in French. I know how to knit and crochet.
