I traveled a lot in the past years. South East Asia, South America, I just came back from spending a year in New Zealand on a working holiday visa! I traveled the South and North island and worked there as an au pair and couchsurfed a lot. I got so much help from everyone, that now I'd love to give back but I'm housesitting so I got space but it'll be different every time :). I work freelance in communication, love hiking, photography and ofcourse traveling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love seeing places from a locals perspective and even though it is great to meet other travelers, sometimes it's nice to meet people who know the place by heart and who actually live there! Also I think it's a unique way to meet new people :). Especially my New Zealand trip has been about seeing New Zealand off the beaten track, as I discovered hitchhiking and Couchsurfing have showed me SO many places I would never have been able to visit by bus or when I stuck to hostels. I have made amazing friends and met such cool people all ages, cultures, family situations, genders, etc etc. through Couchsurfing. It's truely made for most highlights during my travels over the past years. I'd love to help out travelers in my city now and help them get a bit of a local experience :)

Music, Movies, and Books

All kinds. Whatever the radio/spotify/itunes/live music is playing. Books I usually trade in hostels so I read so many different types of books I otherwise never would have seen. At home I like going to the arthouse cinema as a friend of mine used to work there and see could go unlimited with a +1. I watch lots of series too. Just ask.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have skydived once which was pretty cool itself, but which was even cooler was that I won the jump so it was a very surprising and unique experience. Also, I have a walking disability but I have taken A LOT of hikes during this trip, cause nothing ain't stopping me! Therefore got to see some great mountains, nature sights, cities and other amazing places.

The best thing I've done though is getting around by hitchhiking ónly through entire New Zealand. I made it all the way from Bluff to Cape Reinga by hitchhiking only.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've worked in social media and communications so I can give tips there. We can share a meal together, I've lived in Breda since I was 7 so can give tips on what to do etc. Would love to meet up for a coffee or a drink and hear about your travels!
