Chi sono

CURRENT MISSION

conquering my courage, improving myself

ABOUT ME

I'm peaceful but at the same time joyful, I adapt to the environment. I can be a light-hearted, fun-loving companion, but I am more than willing and capable of diving into the deeper end of conversation and exploration.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm looking for a peaceful revolution, one that takes place in people's minds and souls. I've seen it work lately, I've seen how 'be the change you want to see in the world' works- on a very small and personal scale, because I'm currently preoccupied with building a firm and strong foundation for all my future actions.

I'm not only open to learning about new cultures, philosophies and religions, but thirsty for it! I'm also a very keen student of anthroposophy.

I'm a very intense and passionate creature and live both ideas and feelings as if they're running out.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm looking forward to having people stay over either in Romania- in Bucharest or Constanta- or in Colchester, where I'm currently studying;

As for my own travel plans, I'm hoping to go on a Eurotrip this September with a friend and meet as many new people as we can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Oficial Cs experiences:
Hosting-
1.Ariane! From the Netherlands
2. Rob, from the Uk
3. Rafaela and Raphael from Germany/ Canada
Surfing-
1. Alessandro, in London
2. George, in London
All wonderful meetings!

I've met three guys from Switzerland in a club in Bucharest and by the end of the night, I had invited them to stay at my place, on the Romanian seaside. Which they did, after also staying for a night in my studio in Bucharest. That was great fun;

A girl I met during the ESU Public Speaking competition from London in 2010, Julie, came and stayed at my place during 2011's winter, in January. Went with her on a short trip to the mountain side, showed her the Royal Palace in Sinaia; drank tequila and some typical Danish drink she brought with her; went on a short trip on the Romanian sea side and fed bread to the swans living in one of the gulfs during that winter.

I have a longer list of people who I had just met and stayed over at my place sooner or later.

Interessi

Right now, my main interest is to define and conquer independence and freedom (they're not quite one and the same, as far as I can tell), and a way to do this is by travelling and meeting new people, new ideas, new experiences- The most fun way to tear down all kinds of barriers!

I'm studying drama and literature and take it really seriously. I'm interested in mythologies, legends and fairy-tales, but also in political theatre. Hopefully, in ten years or so, I will have developed my own writing style, defined the structure of a new approach to theatre and will be prepared to change the world through theatre haha

Dexter, House (this last season is weak, but I'm still hoping for improvement...) Game of Thrones, Sherlock, Bored to Death, Misfits, Twin Peaks, Ally McBeal (when I really need my dose of oestrogen)

Music
Tim and Jeff Buckley (awesome genes...) Wovenhand, Hjaltalin, Ane Brun, Tool, Fiona Apple, Yann Tiersen, Massive Attack, MArtina Topley Bird, Hooverphonic, Polar Bear, Minus, Nicolas Jaar. some classical, some jazz, some electro, some Greek, Russian, Lebanese.

Books
All time favourite is 'The Little Prince' by Antoine de Saint-Exupery., followed closely by the works of Hermann Hesse- especially Steppenwolf.
Big fan of Russian writing (Russian everything, actually...) Dostoevsky, Gogol, Anna Akhmatova, Pushkin and, of course, Chekhov!
Camus and his Stranger are pretty awesome.
Peter Brook- The Empty Space should be read by everyone!
The Philosophy of Freedom by Rudolf Steiner. But everything written by Steiner is in a completely separate chapter.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Swimming among the fluorescent phytoplankton in the Black Sea at night is definitely among my top experiences. Then there's swimming in the Mediterranean, near Taormina and seeing the rich fauna there. Holding snakes in the Dominican Republic, finding huge shells in the Caribbean Sea and jumping and running in the ocean on New Year's in the same place.- Swimming is great. The sea, the ocean are a part of me.

most recent top experience: Switzerland- the Bernina Express should be on everybody's list; the Mystery Dramas at the Goetheanum were absolutely breath taking!

Otherwise, it's always an amazing experience to meet new people. Karma works in mysterious ways.

Insegna, impara, condividi
