About Me

Hey! I'm a world-traveling book author, marketing pro and movie actor (see www.Flint.actor), living my dreams and inspiring others (how) to do the same. For example by speeches, coachings, and books.
Classical Poet. Freedom Fighter. Solopreneur. Paragliding DUCATI nomad (https://vimeo.com/281866117). Mango Junkie. :-) In the summer months, I travel through Europe, in the Winter, I'm mostly in Asia, Africa, or Oceania.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a Permanent Traveler, have checked out of my home country Germany in October 2015 and cruise around the world, checking out great places to paraglide and riding my DUCATI through Europe in summer. In the winter months, I explore the Southern Hemisphere (Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, India etc.). My own Internet company provides me with enough means so I could afford good hotels but that's not the way of life or world trip I have in mind (and heart).

In the next years, I want to meet and get to know as much people as humanly possible - all over the world. I already have many good friends all around the world which I visited until now but I'm always happy and open to meet new ones.

CS is my hub to these future friends I don't know yet. I try to be the most pleasant guest I can be, cooking Indian (if you like), don't smoke, don't drink, don't start parties at your place (unless YOU do, then I'm game) and I'm no messie. I've been a guest at 7 dozen different friend's places in the last 12 months and have always made it a point to adapt as smoothly as possible to the hosts' life and circumstances. Almost every one of them said - even after weeks of living together - I could come back anytime I want. Best compliment I can get as a Permanent Traveler. :-)

I'm also very experienced in housesitting and even taking care for children 4-10 years old (often did it for friends while I lived in Munich). Just in case you wondered if a guy with a Bruce-Willis-Memorial-Haircut could also have a soft side - yeah, I'm writing poems, too. Pretty good ones, actually. (:-j

These are my first baby steps here so I hope you accept a few kind words from my friends (see references > personal) as a replacement feedback until I finally started using CS "for real" this year and got some equally nice references from hosts. :-)

Interests

Oh man - it's easier to list here what I'm NOT interested in: drugs, a normal family life, drama, conflict, 9-to-5-careers, tv, status symbols, video games, football and booze. Everything else I take at least a momentary look at. And many things I tried out became life-long passions: paragliding, acting, Indian cooking, billard, writing books (the 31th is almost finished), traveling, photography, movies and much, much more. But most of all: meeting new people and getting to know their world!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: too diverse to list it here. Changes all the time. At the moment: Rachel Claudio. And Trentemøller. And VARGO. And ... ah, forget it. :-)
Movies: Mr. Nobody, Limitless, Layer Cake, Walter Mitty, Fight Club, The Fountain and 1 Mio. more.
Books: Snowcrash by Neil Stephenson, Nexus by Ramez Naam, Altered Carbon by Richard Morgan, Tao: The Watercourse Way by Alan Watts and Illusions by Richard Bach

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Only one? Too Hard to decide. I just list the first ones that come to mind, okay?: Holding a Bungee World Record in 1991, chatting with Connery in 2000, acting in a 007 movie and meeting Neil Armstrong in 2008, fencing with The Three Musketeers in 2010 and being at the casting for STAR WARS 7 in late 2013 are just a few of many amazing things I've done. And I'm just getting started ... ;-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I learn everyday. I share all I can give. I have not many possessions, but I share them freely. Except my DUCATI, my paraglider, and my MacBook Air - sorry, but my horse, my wings, and my office are sacred to me. ;-) Besides all this material stuff: I have a loooot of cool stories to share. And I'm fun to have around - or so most people say (yeah, really). ;-)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've written 30 books so far. I'm very happy to share some of them (at least the e-book versions) with my new friends and hosts. My Indian cooking is pretty good. And if a host needs help or ideas for their marketing: I worked for 20+ years in advertising for 280+ big brands like AUDI and DISNEY so I can certainly support you there creatively and/or strategically. And if nothing of all this makes you happy, at least I'll buy us a great breakfast, ok? :-)
