About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Erupt with inspiration AND open ears

ABOUT ME
* Is it enough to activate change in one's own community or do the injustices of the world demand that we look farther from our zone of familiarity? My answers to this waver and I find myself revisiting the riddle often. For now I have opted to create a full life close to my home and hope it lends itself as a good addition and new perspective of living 'simple' in this bitty town of ours. There is so much more though, the grand chasm of classes. The bikes and the vegetables and the hope.... is that enough??

* Tempeh! We love to go full circle: growing, harvesting, processing, and incubating the soybeans and the result is a blast of taste.

PHILOSOPHY
We need to retain a perpetual perspective that many people (myself included) possess far too much, and there are millions of people that possess far too little. Possessions are the tip of the iceberg: respect, land security, continued protection of one's cultural traditions- the intense web extends back through history, and can't be ignored.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about CS a few years ago and was psyched. A chance to meet people and open my home to them is an infinitely lovely idea. Canton is a touch off the beaten path. If you are in the neighborhood though, COME! There is a river for swimming, bountiful food, and a chance to sit and chat about this complicated world of ours.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Outstandingly positive. Each experience on both the giving and receiving end boost me. In both Mexico and US.., I have been the recipient of hospitality that has bolstered my respect for the busy and thoughtful people that I have met. It's lovely to stop in a new place and immediately be welcomed into the fold of someone's life, if only for a slip of time. What fortune!

It's a yard sale, for ideas and goodwill and goodness. All is available, and we don't need businesses or government to make it happen for us. That is powerful.
