ABOUT ME
Originally from the northern German coast, I spent a year as a volunteer teacher in Vietnam after high school where I started engaging in the couchsurfing community. Next stops were Aachen (Germany) for my studies, Canada for a semester abroad, Cologne and Belgium for work. I now started settling on a more long-term basis in the beautiful city of Cologne. I'm still thrilled by all the experiences you can gather abroad and I hope I won't get caught up with everyday life so much that I forget to travel.
PHILOSOPHY
If there's one thing I learned during my one-year stay in Southeast Asia it would be being patient and taking things slowly. A certain amount of imperturbability can save you a lot of troubles and stress. So I try to apply these principles in my daily life even though it is kind of hard in our modern western society.

We hosted CSlers for several times and I've met many couchsurfers in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.

The Discovery of Slowness, because it is a great book underlining what I've written above.
Lord of the Rings, both books and movies because it's Lord of the Rings ;)
The Solitude of Prime Numbers, because it teaches you to be happy with what you have.
And many more.
