ABOUT ME

I would hope they would say something about how much I love people and genuinely care for my friends, as well as those that are around me! I also love to laugh--and have quite the boisterous one--and smile. It is no surprise that I am always down to have a good time and try to be someone that makes connections throughout get togethers. My friends always tell me that I am a "bopper", which is evidence of my love for good, stimulating conversation and others.

I am a huge family person and love to spend time with my parents and my two siblings (older sister, younger brother). My sister is my best friend in the whole world and my brother always proves to be a wonderful listener and objective advice-giver.

I love to learn about new cultures, people, ideas, religions, etc. There is always something exciting about meeting new people and I hope to be open to the experiences that are at hand, whatever they may be.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently unable to host, but would love to get to know other people around the cities that I am able to travel to! I am in Europe for a couple more months yet before heading back to my hometown and (new) college town: Madison, Wisconsin!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am looking forward to experiencing my first ever couch surfing this upcoming week!! :) SO excited.

Interests

I really enjoy conversing with others and learning how they think and how they got to be the person they are today. I also love to spend my time creating art (regardless of the quality, at times! Ha-ha) which ranges from dancing, singing, and writing to painting and reading. Another passion of mine is learning! I spend a lot of time in school and out reading, writing, and trying to put things I have learned to use.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One moment that left me completely awestruck was this time that occurred when I lived in Chicago; I was walking home after a snowstorm and noticed a young woman walking behind me without snow boots on. She had asked me a question earlier, but I didn't turn to talk to her until I was almost home. I ended up learning her life story and that she was in need of a resume because her husband was recently incarcerated and, at the time, I was a student-worker in my University's career center and had been trained in resume writing. I was able to help her and see her off with a hot-meal and a little Starbucks gift, but the best part was knowing that my small actions were used in a greater way. I have also effectively written a lot for my "two" moments sooo, I shall count this as two! Ha-ha!
