Overview
About Me
My slightly crazy Romanian roommate and Oxford PhD put it like this: "I once lived with a guy named Flo. Quantum physicist by day, short story writer by night. Now let me tell you what he used to do in between..."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have a insanely comfortable couch, but don´t know how to surf it. It just seemed the only thing to do about it really...
Interests
As I´m studying Physics and also Philosophy I enjoy reading (novels), learning (also languages) and discussing a broad variety of things. This proves valuable when traveling around the world, but also when enjoying a quiet night with friends.
I can appreciate afternoons alone by drawing, sports or piano playing, but on the other hand you might not have met a more sociable person. A drink and delicious food - count me in.

Music, Movies, and Books
If you have never heard of electro-swing, I recommend this mixture of 20ies-swing and lively modern beats. I don´t think, you can hold your food from tapping to the rhythm! But also the original jazz tunes are favourites of mine. Apart from this, piano brought me close to Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and composing myself.
Intricate movies like "The Prestige", "Inception" or "Memento" are keeping me on the toes. The same is true for "House of Cards" and "Game of Thrones". "A Beautiful Mind", "Patch Adams" and other biographical dramas are wonderful; on the romantic side "It´s About Time" and "Le fabuleux destin d’Amélie Poulain" make the top.
Books. The passion in fact. From Goethe to Kafka, from David Mitchell to Murakami, including Tolkien and Rowling of course, but also less common fiction, I can extract something positive out of everything...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I would gladly tell you about the three euros, I earned on the streets of Venice by juggling; about the Japanese cooking lesson of my favourite Izakaya owner or the time, when I realized, that one year of bouldering left me still as a weakling - such stories come best when told in person, don´t you think?
Teach, Learn, Share
Like to be taught things;
gladly learn, whatever is interesting;
share mostly everything there is.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We will find something, I´m 100 % convinced ... and if it´s only a bar of delicious chocolate.
