ABOUT ME
Hi travelers,
We are a young married couple living in Paris:
one French guy and one American lady. Flo is a agronomist who loves everything that happens between plants and people, and Alia is anthro-trained community development coordinator and activist.
We live in a small appart in Paris, near Pigalle.
We love to host people, whether for a weekend, a simple meal, or for a party, and have really enjoyed meeting people from all over through our travels. We also really love to cook, so come on over!
Bonjour,
Karibuni, bismillah, bienvenue, welcome
PHILOSOPHY
Live to eat!
Our live is a lot about feeding ourselves with the most yummy food that we can have.
So, we like to cook a lot, organic, fairtrade and very tasty food.
Flo is a full cholesterol regime where Alia try to educate him on healthy vegetarain food.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We host when we have a home of our own, and we surf whenever we are traveling.
We move around a lot, and so we have also used couchsurfing to find new friends when we move to a knew town. It's a great way to meet open-hearted people everywhere you go!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We had the most wonderful and interesting people come to stay with us, all when we lived in Mombasa, Kenya.
We were also hosted in London and in Utah in the US by very kind people. We have learned so much from the people we have met, and gained inspiration and some lasting friendships.
Interests
We are very interested in sharing cultural experiences. We have a lot of international friends here, so we are always learning to negotiate between different cultures and languages (not to mention being from two surprisingly different cultures ourselves).

Music, Movies, and Books
We like African music, especially the great West African styles. Alli likes americana, folk, and anti-folk music and Flo likes reggae, rock and alternative hip-hop.
we read or listen to news almost every day, and otherwise like to read books related to our work: history, politics, economic, anthropology, etc. But we swear we're not snobby! Just curious about this weird new globalized world.
we rencently discovered Jim Jarmusch, what a great filmmaker!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We met randomly on the street in a small rural town in Tanzania about a year and a half ago, and found we had a lot in common despite the random circumstances and our very different backgrounds. The worst part is that Alli was prepared to just walk by and pretend not to see this unknown white guy. The best part is that Flo introduced himself, and changed both of our lives!
Teach, Learn, Share
We can teach you how to cook, we love cooking. and we have different style.
greasy french cooking Vs healthy american style!
