About Me

CURRENT MISSION

breathing in and out, a lifetime mission

PHILOSOPHY

Confusion helps to clarify

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

hmmm, I'm always flying around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in Lisbon for a few days. Beside this I have little experience with the CS-system, apart from stories of many friends that use it to travel around. I'm very used though to have people over and find free places to stay, through friends of friends of friends,..

Interests

expressing the mind through the body and vice versa, moving from place to place, finding the beauty in small things, always seeing, listening, smelling, feeling and learning, dance & performance and its world, farming, self-managed and sustainable living.

Music, Movies, and Books

some names that often fill my room with warm sounds.. bonnie prince billy, antony and the johnsons, sigur ros and their stringplayers 'amiina', patrick watson, cocorosie, fleet foxes, bon iver, a silver mt zion, cat power, anouar brahem, bjork, some bob marley every now and then, camille, penguin cafe orchestra, eddie vedder solo and pearl jam, portishead, radiohead, thom yorke, neil young, michael franti, nick cave, paul weller,

----------------------------

lately I haven't been very good in watching movies, apart from the movie nights we organize with friends, in social centers etc. Movies related to political, social, ecological struggles or phenomena. It's more an opportunity to watch, learn, think, discuss, have a chat and a beer. But I guess in general my favorite movies are often german or latin-american ones...
Oceans (great documentary about life under the sea!), Lucia y el sexo, Gegen die wand, die Fälscher, Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, Amores perros, Salvador, Motorcycle diaries, Goodbye Lenin, Non ti muovere, die Welle, Sophie's choice,..

----------------------------

books and texts come and go, they must be somewhere floating in my mind, supporting and interlacing with the everyday knowledge. I've been reading a lot about ecology (which is quite a general word for the many different forms and realizations it has), the body in contemporary performance and art, as well as novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Honestly, every time I plunge my body in the lively Ocean, I'm overwhelmed by the energy it gives me back.

Teach, Learn, Share

teach, learn and share how to live on this full planet, with all its injustice, disaster and misery, in a way that we can reduce what many here perceive as 'normal' and I personally perceive as luxury. Search for alternatives to this self destructive capitalist society and its so called 'democracies' (although we can find evidences for the exact opposite in everyday life).
Learn about where we come from and where we are going to. There is a dark cloud hanging above humanity, but if we take the right benefits of the sunrays shining trough we can still make something out of it, I'm sure.
