About Me
I can define myself as a positive and cheerful person. I enjoy trying new things and facing new challenges. I love travelling. Getting to know other cultures, the way other people live and think makes me happy and enriches myself as a human being. One of the things I enjoy the most is cooking and sharing a table with friends or family. I am also a singer. Music is very important to me as a way to express feelings and thoughts.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have always believed in travelling as a real experience, not as just tourism. Since I started travelling I have always looked for experiences to get involved with the culture and lifestyle of the country as much as possible and that's why meeting people and sharing special moments is really important.
Staying at someone's house, no matter if it is for a short term, is like being on an inter-cultural exchange. It means learning from someone about that country/culture/lifestyle and letting someone know about your country. It means appreciating the other and trusting the other, as someone is opening his house's doors to you, as well as the other has to trust in you. It means learning and opening your mind. It is definitely the way I prefer travelling, by having the opportunity to live such experiences.
Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy listening to different types of music (rock, pop, soul, blues are among my favourites). I like going out and have a good time while listening to live music. I also enjoy music a lot while I am singing.
One of my favourite movies are Titanic, Julie & Julia, Billy Eliot, Bridget Jones, all movies with Drew Barrymore (my favourite actress), musicals such as Chicago and The Misérables and old Disney movies.
I also love watching series on Netflix with my boyfriend: https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/2005391241
Among my favourite authors are Isabel Allende, Paulo Coelho and Mario Benedetti. I also like John Graham, J.K. Rowling and John Green a lot. One of the books I like the most is "Paula" written by Isabel Allende.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have done the "Inca Jungle Trail" in Perú. Starting in Cuzco and going through different towns while doing different activities ending in Machu Picchu. It was unforgettable. It was amazing, unbelievable, scaring at the same time. I did rafting, zip-line, 12-hours-walks, mountaineering, mountain-biking. I didn't expect myself to do all this but I did and it worth it so much! It was such a challenge! All the nature, all the views and everything I learned from our great guide was amazing!
