CURRENT MISSION
Figure out what to do next... and next... next...
ABOUT ME
Long, long ago, in the year 1989 to be precise, several important things of international interest happened, though i can't remember any of them very precisely, because i was just born in the middle of the year.
If you want to know anything that happened afterwards and might have anything to do with, or been observed by myself, don't hesitate to ask, i'll gladly answer.
PHILOSOPHY
Boing
Yeah, think about it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unfortunately i don't have much space to offer in my apartment.
But i always try to be open and i'm glad to meet new people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was introduced to CouchSurfing by staying at a host after a party, who then explained to me what CouchSurfing exactly is and my first thought was "this is awesome"...
by now [edit] this thought has somewhat changed. In my personal opinion the continuing reformation/ commercialisation of CS is certainly not only doing good to the CS community, but sometimes may even interfere with what i understood to be the original idea of CS. I think this is a little sad.
However, i still mostly have positive experiences with the people i meet over CS.
Interests
List anything i'm interested in, eh, that's a hard one... anything?! The secrets of life, the universe and everything!
If you read my profile, you'll get a better idea of what i mean.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Lots of them! Always got one in my bag, several i want to read close to my bed and i guess i could plaster my floor with all those i've read by now. I prefer novels stimulating my imagination (fantasy/ sci-fi), reference books, or "classical" literature and i like to share books with others. No real preference on authors, but if i were to name one, i admire Terry Pratchet for his creativity.
R.I.P Sir Pratchet
Music: Every time, every where, all over the place, crossing all genres. Still listening to: Gorrilaz, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Seatbelts.
Recently mixing it up with: Blues Pills, Little Dragon, No Vacation...
Movies: Still watching a lot of movies and i'm happy every time i recognise another one i might want to see soon. I'll watch all kinds of stuff, from action like "Crank" over comedy by Monty Python to real weird stuff like "The Zero Theorem", "The Fountain", or maybe even more obscure ones. My favourite however is probably "Cloud Atlas", a wonderful interweaving narration of 6 different stories, visualised by 3 of the greatest directors, starring some of the best actors of our time and woefully underappreciated.
Games (too bad this usually isn't mentioned): I love games of all sorts, analog, digital, puzzles, strategy, party-games. Every mammal in our world "plays" at some point in their life and i think that's awesome, because it can always be fun and teach us new things, more than some might think.
In general, i'm a notorius media soak, as long as they're around, i consume them, if they're not, i don't miss them too much though.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's amazing to be still alive! Yes, let's keep that up for now!
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to learn. For me that in and of itself can already feel very rewarding and it's usually fun to experience new things of (close to) every kind.
Things i am interested in, might have some knowledge about or experience with, which could be worthwhile sharing include:
- philosophy, anthropology, sociology
- practical and theoretical training of martial arts and Yoga, as well as swimming and diving
- applied physiotherapy (internship)
- handling and social conditioning of dogs, cats, horses and snakes (also rats, rabbits, guinea pigs, though i would not know how to train them properly)
further i would like to know the question to the answer "42" and i guess everything on the way to this question is valuable :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share your place as quietly as possible, leaving close to no traces behind if you want it so, but i'd rather share some time and something of myself with you and make good memories together.
Some of the best aspects of CS are in my opinion to be able to see parts of another place/ country/ culture from a different perspective, sharing time with locals, seeing things you probably wouldn't as a "regular tourist" and at the same time being able to give something similar back. Sharing ideas and experiences, i would always like to do that.
