ABOUT ME
I always find these things hard to do: But I guess I would describe me as a person easy to get along with, a little shy at times but very talkative when I'm in the right mood. I think I can easily tolerate and be fascinated by other ways to see things than the one I'm used to (with the exception of xenophobic or sexist ideologies)
I would describe myself as kind of booksmart but I often lack the living experience of the things that surround me (I'm afraid studying philosophy does that to you). So I wanna make it one of my goals to leave this theoretical bubble I sometimes find myself in and challenge some of these a priori views one tends to develop when spending too much time in a library :)
At the same time I can't deny that I really enjoy lengthy discussions, especially if they become a little abstract and I'd be happy to have one or two in case we meet.
Apart from all that, I think I am a pretty emotional person, that likes to communicate about the way he feels. I have my doubts about the whole rationality vs. emotionality destinction and I think the way we feel about things plays a huge part in how we rationalize it and vice versa.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host and surf couches
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My former roommate used to host couchsurfers so we had a couple of people stay at our appartment once in a while. I thought it was most fun when people didn't have their entire stay planed but took some time to have dinner or go out with us.
By now I hosted several people from all different countries and each time it was a unique and enriching experience.
Interests
I love to read... novels, theory, history&poltics, poetry
I really enjoy learning languages, hope I can keep doing this for the rest of my life.
Things I would do if I had the time: learn how to cook more creatively, leave the city to take walks in the country, go out dancing (I like it so much, but I don't get to do it very often), get better at playing the guitar and jamming with people, learn some yoga, start writing a diary again, take a class in modern dance (I doubt that this is ever gonna happen though, but who knows, right?)
Oh and of course I would like to travel more

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I grew up in Cologne some friends used to go to this couch sitting on the pillars of a bridge, right in the middle of the river rhine. Someone amazing must've put it there. Sitting there after a night out and watching the sun rise whilst drinking a cold beer was breathtaking.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm good at cooking soup, so if anyone wants to know how to do a delicious pumpkin/ginger/carrot soup.
In Berlin I give free German classes on a weeklz basis, so I have some experience with teaching my language to beginners, so if you always wanted to start we could make it happen
